Obviously Dr's & nurse's when I left my Sucessful Da Vici Surgery from 25 Feb, Discharged on 27 Feb, they said the key point is Stay Hydrated!
However, since arrival back at home
My wife and I have had to flush my catheter/Penis 3 times already because I didnt flow. Thank God they at least showed me at the hospital how we should do that for my wife and I, meaning the flushing
I have been successfuly filling my big bag (when flowing properly) numrous times (drinking LOTS of liquid, about, 80 ounce yesterday) , but, when I dump the bag, there are numerous clots pouring out of the bag discharge, which appear to be stopping the drainage thru the catheter. When the catheter is not flowing, my bladder definitely feels full, almost to the point of exploding with no where for it to go, hence I get the equipment out and flush
I Called the On-Call Urologist last night (27 Feb) he said I was doing the right thing flushing, even though I shouldnt need to but couldnt explain why it was stopping/clotting, he also suggested turning the green tube going in the penis 360 degress (which somehow I dont look forward to) ha ha
While I was in the hospital (INOVA Fairfax) I was obviously on a constant IV drip (150) and didnt have any clots
Yes, since I've been home I've walked some, but not alot
Gonna call my Surgeon today (28 Feb) to discuss but thouoght Id throw it out here for opinions
