I'am looking for someone who has had numbers close to these G/7, PSA/116, thats right 116. In Sept. I had it removed, they couldn't get it all, lower lymph nodes have it to. Doing Lupron <every 4 months> my last 3 PSA's were .04.  Feb. 2nd surgery to remove abesses and work on a fistula.

One friend currently on hormone treatment had PSA of 58. He's doing well with limited side issues or quality of life problems.
Dr Myers has a few case studies in his book, with PSAs of 1026, 3488 and 3656.
The yananow site has lots of individual stories from men who had different PSA readings who have used hormone therapy for various periods extending to over 10 years.

Hello there Keepingon. Sorry you had to come here. You may find some of the information you're seeking on as well as here. They have a most excellent breakdown of tables of fellas with PC .........broken down by age at diagnosis, PSA numbers, Gleason score, treatments and progress etc. The information and stories supplied by fellow travelers here on HealingWell has helped greatly to give me peace of mind.
1/05 PSA----2.9 3/06-----3.2 3/07-------4.1 5/07------3.9 All negative DREs
Aged 59 when diagnosed
Biopsy 6/07----4 of 10 cores positive for Adenocarcima-------bummer!
Core 1 <5%, core 2----50%, core 3----60%, core 4----50%
Gleason 4+3=7 (80% grade 4)
Biopsy pathologist's comment......neither extracapsular nor perineural invasion is identified
CT scan and Bone scan show no evidence of metastases
Da Vinci RP 8/07
Post-op pathology:
Positive for perineural invasion and 1 small focal extension
Negative at surgical margins, negative node and negative vesicle involvement
Some 4+4=8 identified ........upgraded to Gleason 8
PSA Oct 07 <0.1 undetectable
PSA Jan 08 <0.1 undetectable
