It has only been a couple of days (not 2 weeks) and the results are back.  My uncle does have cancer ( I do not have any details ,my mom just called me). The doctor said that this type can spread to bones and nodes so he is scheduled for bone scan on Thursday and another appoitment with Urologist April 11th to go over everthing.
Time to but the books!

Hey Goody,

Sorry about your uncle's having cancer. But its really a good thing that he had the biopsy and hopefully caught it early enough to successfully treat. He has lots of options. So get all the information about treatments that you can and make a plan. Don't look back and don't second guess.

We have been there and understand the fear and confusion of a diagnosis. Stay with us for support and information...

Hi Goody,

Thanks for the update on your uncle.  We're very sorry he was positive for cancer.

When things settle down a little bit, please add a signature to your posts containing your uncle's diagnosis.  That will help us respond a little better.

You uncle probably has some time to make a decision, so he should get all the info he needs to make a decision comfortable to him.  Second and third opinions on a course forward won't discourage his existing doctor, either.

Try to stay positive.  This disease may be conquered when caught in various stages.

Please let us know how we can help to support you and your uncle.

All the best,

Barry ~ (a.k.a. "Idaho")
