I had Color Doppler Ultrasound and targeted biopsy on 3/19/2008. It confirmed my Gleason 9 involving almost the entire left lobe including the left superior neurovascular bundle and left seminal vesicle. Up to 90% of the tissue core contained PCa. It is now staged at T3b.
My ADT was increased from Lupron to include Casodex and Avodart. The doctor wants me to continue the ADT for 6 months and then have aggressive cryo followed by 6 more months of ADT(12 mos total). The aggressive cryo will freeze the left lobe along with the neurovascular bundle and seminal vesicle.
Yor mentioned Dr. Ornik in a previous post. If you want to learn more about cryo in your situation I would contact him. He is one of the doctors who has published many studies of cryo along with Drs. Lee and Bahn.
