I wanted to add this to my earlier post but I decided to create a new post as I thought this is very important to me. During my visit to Dr. Fagin yesterday for the removal of the catheter, I met another member of our beloved "HealingWell Forum". He is no other than Salty_Clerk. What a great gentleman, full of energy and very positive. Although his appointment was not scheduled for a few hours after mine he took the time to visit me as he knew about my appointment yesterday. He flew in to Austin with his wife and came straight to the hospital to visit me. I also met his beautiful wife. They are truly great people. We had a good talk yesterday and again I spoke to him after I got home. He is having his surgery this morning at 9:00 AM with Dr Fagin and I’m asking all to wish him all the best and hope his surgery is successful so he can join us again. He will not be able to post as he has not taken his computer with him. He will be staying in Austin for the surgery and will remain till the removal of the catheter. I planned to call him tomorrow after his discharge from the hospital and report back. Again please say a prayer for him.   Update 5/5/08 Well, finally I was able to make contact with Salty. All this time that his phone was off was because he had complications after the surgery. He is doing much better now and I will mention few of the complications as I understood them but will let him go into more detail when he return to the forum. His blood pressure was very, very low after the surgery and his kidneys stopped because of various reasons. He was in intensive care since the day of surgery (4/30/08) that is the reason his phone was shut off and I could not make contact. Anyway he is now in his regular room and should leave the hospital in a couple of days if all is well. As I said before, he does not have a laptop or PC with him and he did told me to tell everyone that he is doing much better and thanks for all the concerns. Please say a prayer for him as we wish him all the best and fast recovery.   Thanks KrisP

I tried to call Salty on his cell phone but got his voice mail so I left him a message to call me back. Hasn't heard anything as yet but will sure post as soon as I make contact. I know he does not have a computer with him so I don't think he will be posting unless something changes. My only concern is that he came out of surgery fine and is healing well.

Just wanted to bump this thread for all to know of Salty's condition. I've edited the first post thinking it will bump it but I guess I was wrong.

Update 5/6/08

Just spoke to Salty from his hotel room in Austin and he is in very good spirit as his pathologist report came back with all good news. His Gleason score is down graded to a lower score (3+4) and all margins are clear.

His prayers were answered. He will check in as soon as he gets home and share more with everyone.

Thanks to all.
