Debbie and I met Tony as in TC-LASVEGAS for dinner at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Jacksonville this evening. We spent about 2 1/2 hours together and had a wonderful time talking mostly about ourselves and also PCa and this forum.  Tony is as warm and friendly in person as he is here.  If any get the opportunity to meet him, it is highly recommended

Hi Debbie & Richard,
What a wonderful evening. As you probably know the company gala I had attended tonight was awesome. They had a great band and all the perks you could imaging. They also had tattoo artists painting everyone and I got a little crazy with it. I will post some pics on my website. But with all I enjoyed earlier today and this evening, it was the nice dinner with you two that made my day. A hundred friends, and it was the two I had dinner with that just made it all special. I've always heard it, 'The Lord works in mysterious ways', and tonight was proof. This should have been a weekend not a couple of hours. Should we ever get the chance again, we should get much more time to share our Love of one another. May your treatments go well. I know they will. You have a great plan, and did a great job of taking control of your treatments. And you are a wonderfull advocate at this site and with others in this journey. May peace be with you.

God Bless You,

Tony

I hope I will soon be adding a post like this to "My Journey". In a few weeks we will hopefully be meeting Biker90 and his wife when we are in Seattle for our Alaskan Cruise. I am really looking forward to meeting a great man that has given me so much support during my journey.

Just Curious! Has anyone ever though of trying to set up a "reunion" type meeting for al the HW PCa guys and gals?

i have thought about it for some time. Unfortunately, we are a diverse group. Both geographically and in where we are in life. It could not imagine how we could arrange a meeting at one place and time that would allow such an event. But hey, I live in Las Vegas. We are an attractive town that would present the best possibility because of the cheap rates to come here. The problem is still the travel and the time lines of our separate lives. I would be open to anything that could be planned. Until then, I would not turn away from anyone stopping by. But, I can state at least this one experience was very much a blessing. Like Smilingoldcoot says...If anyone gets the chance to meet Richard or Debbie, you are in for a real treat, and I highly recommend it. I had been trying to divert myself to Alabama to see my dear friend Walter. And just could not get it done. Both in schedule and the dang airline rates. So I'm back in Vegas but I'm not stayin' in Vegas. A friend of mine is trying to help us with that meeting in the coming weeks. Her husband works at Southwest Airlines and after she heard my story she told me she would try to help us get it done. So I am Hoping she pulls it off.

Dale,
You were just here and with a bit more notice we could have changed our plans to allow a few hours of meet and greet before heading to our planned trip to Zion NP. Just getting us together had its challenges.

Wouldn't it be great if we had a 'Make a Wish' group to help us out?

Back in the day when I was single and an internet chatter I attended numerous GTGs (get to gethers) and met people from all over the US. They use to have lots of them set up by groups of chatters on the net.

Hope it does not surprise folks but Debbie and I initially met on the internet. Look at us now :)

If anyone comes to Jacksonville in the next 10 weeks let us know and after that we have an old RV and love to travel.

You know we just need to plan an event in Vegas maybe six months out, maybe even a couple of places around the country. I am currently working with The American Cancer Society to do something similar here in my home town. I will let the group know how that goes.
Tony we will hook up next time, I will be back in a few months.

peace and love
