Nobody wants to hear the dreaded words, 'You've got prostate cancer', but 1 in 6 of us men eventually join that exclusive club (even Bill Gates's and Warren Buffett's combined wealth can't buy you a membership)
Prostate cancer has been a part of my vocabulary for two years.  It has changed my perspective on life and improved my vision.  Minor irritations and frustrations seldom bother me the way they used to.  I'm learning to speak the language of the heart more fluently. I pay more attention to relationships and take them less for granted.  Every day is a gift.
While we've all joined this club not by choice, the benefits of membership can be incalculable.  (The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings--Eric Hoffer)

Age 59  PSA quadrupled in 1 yr (0.6 to 2.5)

Open surgery June 2006
Cancer confined to prostate (1 pea-sized area)

It looks like your journey and mine started out very simular as you will see in my signature. Yes, the forum is a place we wish no one would ever want to join, but boy am I glad it is here. I just got home from round 4 of chemo and I came here first. It helps to have a safe place filled with friends. I will vote to stay with "Healing Well" because it is a place of healing and all is well.

Keep fighting the fight brother.
