Dear Forum Friends,   Life’s Journey It’s not easy saying goodbye, but I want you to know how deeply you’ve touched our lives and how we wish for you all of your hearts desire. May happiness and good fortune be yours in life’s continuing “Journey”…   Thank you for your friendship along this path we’ve all found ourselves on.   It truly has been a blessing to watch the strength and comfort from so many that are willing to share their journey.   HealingWell.com   is exactly that…. Healing Well ~ together. Strength, Comfort, Knowledge, & Hope… and sooo much more. Caring Enough to Share   As time moves forward I hope you think of us fondly.   Our main objective was to share “Our Journey” and take a little stress off Newbies by creating “Direct Links” and “Helpful Hints” to guide them. I truly feel we accomplished this ~ in more ways than one. Knowledge gives us POWER….   POWER takes away the fear.   Each person has their own unique way of Caring Thank you for accepting our way….   This   “ Hug ”   is   for   “ You ” !!! Keep   it   close…   The past 5 months have been a total blur… due to (positive) Life Changes we’ve made.   My participation the past several months on the forum have been very sporadic.   And there is no way to catch up…   and this truly touches a deep core within me.   Our travels begin in 2 weeks and will go through September.   It is time for me to move on.... to a new stepping-stone at this time.   The forum is growing rapidly and it is wonderful to see the “New” members becoming Friends… with the special people who make our forum so powerful.   Stepping-Stones are strengthened because of the friendships made here on HealingWell .   Tony *TC-LasVegas and Barry *IdahoSurvivor ~ Thank you for joining me on this side path of Moderating…. And soon you’ll have a few more to help .   You are true “gentle”men.   Thank you for you!!!   Thank you all ~ for allowing the “3 of us” to walk with each of you ~ and for taking our hand in friendship.   You will always be in our thoughts and prayers as we all continue to move forward. http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb179/mamabluebird1955/Stepping-StonestoHealingWell.jpg   To each of   ~*You ~ who took our hand and allowed us to walk with you…      (* You know who you are!!!)   Thank you for touching our lives. “All that you are reaches out and touches others   in ever-widening circles of friendship.”   Touch a life ~ with a Hug   This “ Hug ” is for “ You ” !!! Keep it close…   ♫   Though you cannot always see the bird singing, if you listen with your heart, you can always hear her song.   ♫   http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb179/mamabluebird1955/mamabluebird.jpg   When you feel a “ gentle breeze ” upon your face…                                    think of us and know we continue to care about “you”.   In Friendship ~ Lee & Buddy and Murphy too!           v        bluebird ~   Moderator for Prostate Cancer Forum June 12, 2007 through June 1, 2008 Member since May 2006      ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ “God Bless You”   It's a little prayer "God Bless You" but it means so much each day, It means may angels guard you and guide you on your way.  ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~           Help ~ HealingWell ~ Help "All of Us"                           Caring is Sharing ~ Please donate.... www.healingwell.com/donate

Dear Lee & Buddy,

I'm not sure how to express my gratitude and thanks for all your kind, calming and caring words that helped me so much at the beginning of my journey. It saddens me to see you leave as our moderator, but hopefully you will not leave this forum entirely. I'm sure I'll speak for all of us in this group when I say that we will dearly miss your special way of lending a helping hand where needed.

Many thanks for all you have done and may you future be full of bluebirds.

Lee, Buddy, & Murphy,
You were there when I came here. Like so many here, you helped me get through a very difficult time. God has blessed us with you friendship. I will not forget it ever. I am no bluebird. But I learned a great deal from you and will do my best to follow your lead. You are my friend. Forever. When in the darkest hour, you need my help, I will be here...And don't be afraid to drop in. Tell us what you see. How you feel. What's on your mind. Just say hello. Good luck in your travels. We shall meet. There is a place. You have been prequalified.

To our members,
Our Forum continues. This great forum is built by it's members. We gain members daily, and we lose some. But we thrive together. Lee has been our moderator for a year. Giving countless hours of Love and friendship. Our job as moderators has a specific distinction that tells a real story. We are volunteers helping cancer patients. Either through the experience ourselves or through our loved ones, we grew here and wanted to give back. I guess for now, Barry and I get the reigns. But this horse knows where it is going already. Two members have been approached to help. But we will consider any that wants to help. But I warn you. This is not as easy at it looks. What Lee did for us was above the call of duty. I can only use her threads to see "What would mama bluebird do?". This great forum will miss mama bluebird.

I wrote this back to Lee this morning,

Mama Bluebird

When my life was scared, when my heart was withered ~ you were there.

When I thought I would not be here today ~ you were there.

When our friends needed a strong leader ~ you were there.

When the right gentleness was required ~ you were there.

No, you could not solve our problems. God will do that. He is always there.

But be it known. You will be missed. You will always be Loved. You have touched so many. You will always have this legacy at HealingWell.

And in my heart. Your next post will be number 2,500.  And you are very welcome.

With very sincere friendship and Love,

Tony, Ruthie, and "critters"

Dear Lee and Buddy.

This past year was one of the most difficult of my life. Finding out I had this dreaded disease, trying to decide on treatment, getting prepared for the surgery and finally having the surgery on May 29 2007. You guys have held mine and Dale's hand through this journey so far, and for that I am eternally grateful. My life has returned mostly to normal now. We will miss you here on the forum. but I know you are not far away from us physically and I am sure we will see each other from time to time and I will keep sending you pictures of our precious Gavin. We know you will enjoy your travels. You have been an inspiration to us and we will never forget it.

Divine Ms. Bluebird,  (Ms. Lee of Post #2499!),

I remember well how you took on the moderator job, and in spite of your reservations (and the required trips to the library computer!), you put your shoulder to the yoke and

DID AMAZING THINGS THAT WILL CONTINUE TO HELP SO MANY FUTURE PATIENTS!

While I am always reaching for that ambiguous, humorous remark -
  - I really do plan reunions with you & Buddy (& Mika, Tony, Susan, Vicki, Bill, Jim, Selmer, Creed, Barry, ...
...  und so weiter ...) at the pool at the "Y!"

Ms Bluebird:  (paraphrased from Dichos de Amor)
Keep your beak pointed to the skies.
  Fly to the highest point.
  And, sing!

***************************

♫  Though you cannot always see the bird singing, if you listen with your heart,

you can always hear her song.  ♫

When you feel a "gentle breeze" upon your face…

think of us and know we continue to care about "you".
***************************

Lee, Buddy, & Murphy -   in life's travels, I will always keep your feeders full!

Love,   CCedar.    ICTHUS!

oh boy...sigh...wow...gulp!

I came to HW after my husband's "failed" surgery. I lurked long before I posted and felt very unsure about even being here. You made me feel that I had a place here and a story to share and I'm very grateful for that.

Your persistence in getting information and sharing it with all here, even making it easy to go to one place (second post from top):

Prostate Cancer Resources and Direct Links to Sites, Videos, Books, etc. to help with your research!

has been a tremendous help. It should be REQUIRED reading! ;-)

Because I know how you are - you will be checking in on us and we'll be looking for you, too!

Much happiness to you, your Buddy & Murphy,

Susan & Don

Hey Bluebird,

I wish you, Buddy & Murphy, all the best on your new adventures and travels. You were there for me and still are. What can I say you will be missed but not forgotten? I must thank you for all the support you have given me both in forum and personal. As you know I have had a calling also to start a new adventure. I’ll post a special request now for you to mark the first weekend of next May so we can meet up in Stowe, VT at “The Weekend of Hope”.

Mama Bluebird-
You have taken us all under you wing at a time that has been extremely difficult in our lives. I can't thank you enough for your support, time and love. When I was first lurking in this forum, you sent an invite to share my story and I was just looking for a few answers and was planning on being on my way. Your invite encouraged me to share, to stay. I have learned so much from this forum, made so many friends and found a place to feel safe in sharing my fears about this disease. I will be forever grateful, forever touched by your warmth. Please know that if your travels bring you to Seattle, you will have a friend. Best wishes and enjoy your flight!

Lee,

Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything that you've brought to this fantastic site (the reason this site is fantastic is because of fantastic people like you).

May all of your and Buddy's travels be filled with pleasure and joy.

BlueBird, It was just a short year ago next Month that I learned I had joined the club that no one ever wants to join. In my search for answers for what I should do next, and in qyite a bit of fear I found this wonderful web site, and your friendly welcome.Lee, you shared Buddy's journey with each of us, and we exchanged Murphy pictures for those of Libby's pups that came four days after my surgery.  I am happy that you will all be enjoying a new chapter in the journey, but sad we will be losing each of you! Thank you for all you have done, and may God bless each of you wherever you may go.

BluebirdL

There is no THANK YOU big enough for all you have done for this forum and its participants.  You took what was merely a question and answer forum and made it into a "family".  Your ideas for the special links are so helpful to many.  May you and Buddy's travels be safe and please stop in from time to time to say "hi".  We will not forget you.

Dear Lee, I expect that you will understand the intensity of the love and gratitude that I express in the next sentence.

Where would the jetguy be without his bluebird?

In tears of sorrow and great joy,

Bill
