Just got back from first PSA and it is Zero!! We feel so much better now that the first phase is over.
Now for the info the surgeon gave us.
Dont know if anyone knows about this but I wanted to put it out there for all to know about and make the best decision for them.
Our surgeon had the same surgery as my husband and when we asked about supplements instead of Viagra or the like, he told us about Maca Clara. Go to yourholisticsolutions.com and click on the left side to learn about it. His pathology assistant is Peruvian and made the trips to speak with the natives there and find out the best quality of this herb. The surgeon has taken it himself and many of his patients and friends. All have had excellent results. One patient who could only achieve 70 percent erectile function was up to 100% after a short while. It does have a high potassium level and has known to cause HBP but Kent doesn't have that problem so we are going to try it. The surgeon said there are many different forms out there but he has found this paticular brand to be the best. He suggests starting at one and working up to 3, maybe less, and no more than that.
Can only be ordered online. Will let let you know how it works.
Hope this is ok to put this info on here. I was real excited about hearing about it especially from our surgeon who had taken it and found good results.
Thank you all for your support
Cindy

January 08 PSA 5.2 round of antibiotics went to 4.3
February 08 another round of antibiotics went to 4.2
March 17,08 had biopsy, 2 days later told cancer was on
one entire side of prostate.
Gleason 3+3
Doctor thinks its best to get the whole prostate with Perineal  Prostatectomy.
Surgery scheduled for this Thursday April 10th. Only took 1 1/2 hours. In recovery 1 hour.  Both nerves were spared.
Home 4-11 - incision looks completly healed on the outside by 4-25
Cath out 4-22 dripping some
5-25 only uses a pad if going out "just in case". No dribbling to speak of.
Cialis 5 mg at night to start. Didn't agree with system. Viagra 50 mg daily. Was having erections but now not I guess due to the fact we can't afford for him to take the Viagra everyday.

Wow--the best news you can get is that first zero PSA!  Keep up the low scores.  And thanks for the information about the herbal ED treatment.  You're right--a daily dose of ED meds can break the bank account!

Hey Kent and Cindy,

Great news!!! We all love hearing about those wonderful zeros.

Some of us use an overseas pharmacy for ED meds. It is AllDayChemist.com and they are very reliable and easy to work with. Their prices are LOTS less than domestic meds.

Let's all get well together...

Jim
