Greetings everyone

I have recently been diagnosed as T2a, Gleason 3+4=7, with 4 of 12 cores positive for adenocarcinoma by a urologist in Oak Ridge, Tn, who is waiting to hear from me regarding treatment choice. I have also had recommended to me a Dr. Charles Reynolds in Knoxville, who performed a very successful RP on the father of a friend.

Does anyone know of other urologists/surgeons in the Knoxville, Tn area, that they have had success with?

Thanks,

charley

Sorry I don't know anyone in Knoxville but if you want to come over the mountain and Down to Duke in Durham I can recommend my surgeon there. Retired Army Dr and a true and caring man with a lot of experience.

Even though he's not in K'ville, I'd say to put Dr. Joseph Smith at Vanderbilt at the top of your list .   If you can't get robotic from your doc in Oak Ridge ask to be referred to him.   I did from here in Cleveland and and was able to shorten my wait to get in for initial evaluation by several weeks.  When you schedule for surgery ask to be called if someone scheduled ahead of you for surgery cancels & don't be afraid to call them later to remind the scheduling nurse.  The short story was that my wait from my original evaluation at Vanderbilt to surgery was less than two months.

Best of luck!

Regards.
