This is a situation I haven't read of anybody talking about. Ten weeks after surgery, (March) with 100mg viagra, I was having really good erections, very firm, even my wife said it was just like old times. Since then though they have disappeared. It was a gradual disappearing. Now, I am barely able to get any erection at all. Even with 100mg viagra, there are almost no results - certainly not enough for sex.  I know i am only six months out, but isn't it a bit unusual to have the erections only to have them disappear?  The only difference between now and then, is that my surgeon put me on 150 wellbutrin. Anyone ever hear of this?
I'm 48, 195, normal stats as far as bp goes. nothing different at all.
Thanks
Paul

hey Paul, Few years ago, 6+ to be exact,  I took Wellbutrin to help me quit smoking and it did a great job to that end. Took it for a couple months.....but, that is also  a side effect of Welbutrin. Check it out that could be your problem......I'm bettin' it is...had the same issue with it until I stopped taking it after a couple months..

Paul,
You know I'm knew at all this but as soon as you said Wellbutrin, a bell went off. I have known of several men that have been on anti-depressents for smoking or various other reasons and had to stop taking it because of lack of erections. I have been on celexa (along the same lines) and it affects lots of women in the exact way. It did affect me for awhile but being a woman its alittle different. :)
When Kent first had the surgery and seemed alittle down, he wondered about takinig something, then I reminded him about the side affects and how he had a long road anyway. He quickly backed away.
Great on stopping smoking (we certainly can't) but if you can stop taking the wellbutrin, I'm sure you will see an improvement as it leaves your body.
Good luck
Cindy
