Does anyone know anything about or have any experience with chiropractics, acupuncture, herbal remedies, etc. for dealing with ED?

By the way.. I went padless today for the first time since RRP on May 28 (just over four weeks ago). Now that the continence thing seems under control I want to learn about ways to ease the ED.

Thanks...
Husband and father of two (current ages 4 and 6).
Age when diagnosed: 47 (current)
Biopsy showed cancer only on left side.
Pre-surgery PSA: 13.7
Pre-surgery Gleason: 4+3=7
Pre-surgery Staging: T2
CT Scan, Bone Scan, PET Scan: Clear
Robotic Surgery on May 28, 2008, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
Right nerve bundle spared; left bundle removed.
Catheter for 8 days with infrequent "stress" leaking since. Now use one or two pads during the day and none at night.
POST-SURGERY PATH REPORT:
Gleason: 4+3=7
some perineural invasion noted.
no lymph node involvement.
margins clear.

Hi Kark60,

There is some evidence that pelvic floor exercises, similar to Kegels, can help with ED.   See the link below:

In good-sized cities, there are physical therapists at hospitals and in women's clinics who are trained in providing evaluation and therapy, including bio-feedback for pelvic floor muscle strengthening.

The therapy/training appears to take about 3 months to be fully effective for strengthening the pelvic floor properly.

All the best to you,

I have experimented a little bit, with homeopathics and tantric massage... my advice would be, if it feels good and seems to help, do it.

At the same time, "they say that time is a healer"... so patience is key. I am at the 23 month point and am seeing some improvement, even now.

If I would suggest anything, it would be to try injections earlier than later, and also a daily dose of an ED drug (viagra, cialis, etc.) to keep the blood flowing... and frequent m*sturbation and sex. To some degree I would say you are relearning how to play the game with different abilities. Imagine if Kobe Bryant lost his jumping ability - he can jump over 40 inches now, say it was cut down to 20 - would he be an exceptional player? I think he would, he'd just find a different way to do it. This is the challenge we have, on some level. You may be able to work out and get back to 40 inches of leap, but you gotta play the game until then.

Can you tell I'm bummed the Lakers lost ?
