I sorta messed up this past week, and thought I would share it with you, so you don't get caught the same way.  I posted my email address inside a post of MKat.  Since then, I have been deluged with ED spam to those 2 addresses.  A harvester pulled my addresses off the board and now is spamming me.  Ifanyone is putting their email address, home address or phone number in their signature, now would be a good time to take them out, also.  The address that some of us use in the side bar function is safe from harvestors, but any inside a post here is fair game, so be warned and beware....

Another tip I'd like to add. Is only post web based email addresses online (hotmail, yahoo, gmail..etc) If a web email addy becomes too much of a spam trap you can always abandon it and get another. Just give your primary ISP email address to friends. family and others you know you can trust.

Google "bots" are nice and help increase search results that bring people here.

Its a shame about the ones that harvest email addy's.

We can share email, if we use the email function on the left side, under our name and other things.  Tha'ts what you setup when you use the Contorl Panel/Edit Profile function to put in your email address there.  These are secure, it's just the ones that are in the open posts like this message right here.  That's where I posted mine and where it got grabbed.  I knew better, but had a brain-flarp for a second.  If I ever need any ed help, i have lots of opportunities now, I'm getting around a dozen an hour offering everything from ground yak horn to soft Cialis.   eyes :-)

James,
That may not be the cause. My email address is has not been posted in this or any other forum (at least not securely) but I have been inundated with Viagra etc spam for about 5 days now. I use the sender block facility as each one arrives. I have found they usually fade away after a couple of weeks.

that works sometimes if they're using a harvesting software. In the newsgroups I and other use to use @nospamhotmail.com. Of course most who needed the email addresses for legitimate email knew to remove the nospam.
