I am newly registered to the site but started lurking about a week before my surgery. The boards here were so helpful to me. I wanted to thank all of the contributors.

Things are going great. I had the DaVinci procedure 3 weeks ago and am recovering very nicely. I started jogging and doing a little strength training this week and am starting to feel like my old self again. My incontinence has been minimal--a few drops here and there. I only wear a pad when I am going out in public and I don't think that will be for much longer. I tried a low dose of Levitra a few times which gave me a pretty adequate erection but not quite 100% I am going to see if the higher dose works better. Does anyone else have any experience using Levitra?

Thanks again all!

Chris

...hey Chris welcome. Good the hear you're doing so well. It's great to see your doing some lite lifting, I've been hitting the low-impact machines pretty regular at the gym for cardio and the IC thing, which like you I'm doing pretty well just a drop here and there......my prostate Doc told me I could do up to fifty pounds, but.....the hernia Doc says keep it at ten-twenty, so to stay on the safe side...just the cardio for now!! Ya' know that's gotta' help....and like you, I feel pretty darm lucky!

As far as the Levitra goes, the 20mg is the same as 100mg  Viagra(just in case you didn't know that)....I used some Levitra from time to time pre-surgery. Worked pretty well. I've not tried it post-surg, been using ADC's blue pill(couldn't find the Levitra when I ordered the blue pill) since the day the cath was removed, that was day ten....it's working pretty well, not quite at 100% and I'm not complaining at all at only seventeen days out...I'm very pleased. Gonna' try some of ADC's Levitra soon....just cause' I want to see if there is really a difference more than anything....so OK, keep us informed how it's going and welcome again to the site....good luck and happy hunting!!

The effects of Levitra and the other drugs seem to vary quite a bit from individual to individual. It sounds like the Levitra is helping you, so the higher dose should be worth trying. In my case, 20 mg of Levitra gave me headaches and didn't help much, so I switched to low dose Cialis. The fact that you're getting 'pretty adequate' results at only 3 weeks with any drug sounds really promising!
