...planck....I'm up in Marion, I'm four weeks post-op tomorrow and doing great. I had surgery done in Indy at Clarian North by John W. Scott. I recommend him and his partner highly....Ripandburn can tell you his name as the same guys worked on him as well....They've performed over 1400 surgeries....you can drop a email this too if you like......and welcome to a great forum.

I live in Terre Haute and I hope to use one of the surgeons here. Unfortunately it is a small community, I am relatively new and so I am having trouble on determining the "skill level" of my options.

...well, I know Terra Haute is a lot like Marion....and I promise making the trip to Indy would be the best bet. If you've been lurking long on the site you may have noticed some of the guys have/will travel across the country to see the most qualified Doctor in their eyes for the treatment they've decided on. We're very lucky to have in our region some very qualified Dr's offering different treatments for PCa.  With that said, you have plenty of time it looks to do your research and decide on the treatment you desire. Like so many here told me, read, study and do it some more. Knowledge of what it is we're dealing with is so important, as well as our attitudes going in.  We're all different and will make our own selections based on our own needs and knowledge. Talk to your doctors, ask them how long, how many....ask for names of former patients. Let us know how it goes and good luck in your search.
