Jetguy ~ Bill is in Las Vegas and we have had a nice dinner together.  Certainly a gentleman, I am extremely happy to have met him in person.  Our plan is for a lunch with today, and maybe be a tour of his main employment tool ~ a corporate jet.  We had a great discussion about this site and the wonderful people here.  This is a big week for Bill as I understand he also met KW as well.  It amazes me how we have this "brotherhood" but we do.  And for that I am very thankful.  This is my fourth such meeting.  They go with countless phone calls and emails with much of this membership, as well.  I cherish every one of them.  I wish I could meet you all...For now I have to get my plan together for lunch with a friend.

You are right, Bill is a super guy and it was a pleasure when his jet brought him to our corner of North Carolina. It would be good to meet other people here on the forum. When you see Bill give him my regards.

Dear Tony,

Thanks for your kind words (you too, Mika and Kelly).  Meeting all of you has been a real privilege and an honor.  I've also met Les and feel and think the same about him.

Tony and I had a great time.  I mean a really wonderful time.  He is a Private Pilot, so he enjoyed the tour of my bizjet and understood much of it 'cuz he's also an engineer.  A techie.

For some reason HW appeals to high quality people and I feel privilged to be a part of it.  I think that Bluebird had something to do with it - actually, a lot to do with it.

I was such a wreck when I first came here - a mess.  This place saved my bacon and I hope it does the same for all of you.  From the bottom of my heart, I thank each and every one of you.

Regards,

Bill

August of 2006, PSA up to 4.2 from 2.7 one year ago.

Late in the year decide on Image Guided IMRT.
Begin 43 treatments on January 23, 2007 and finish on March 23.

Tony - I was going to surprise you in January, but it's not going to happen. I was supposed to go to CES but I had to cancel, I'll be having a chemo treatment two days before the show starts.

So perhaps I'll find another excuse to get to Vegas!

Bill, I second the Bluebird sentiment. When I was moderating the forum after she moved on, I wasn't as good as she was. Her gentle touch is dearly missed. But this site has grown by so much, it's a tough place to moderate anymore. So my praise for the mod squad we have now ~ Doting (Chayna! I love that name!), Idaho (Barry), and Harold ~ Thanks guys and gal!

My days of flying are relagated to ultra lights and economy class for business trips (ah yes! and Walter). But it was great to sitting out on the tarmack where I my training was. And to do it in a Gulfstream? Yes!!!! Let's do it again. I loved talking about APU's, ATIS, Clearance Delivery, wine cabinet's, and hot flashes at the same time. I'll post some pic's tomight on my caringbridge site. Give me about 15 minutes to start.

When I got here, I was like so many ~ a deer looking into the headlights. What I was able to do here, is get the fears away and get to understanding this disease. Finding I had advanced disease was a shock, but so many here helped me so much ~ God Bless you all!

I hope you talk to Les soon. Like I told you, I love him and will always be here for him.

In fact I love you all, and will be here for you all as long as you'll let me!

Peace,

Tony

David,
CES is a great show. Too bad you can't make it. Really too bad because your are one of the class acts I would be honered to meet. If you ever need to make up a reason, I will help you. In fact, if you can send me some dates that might work, I'll check the concert schedule...Remember ~ I live in Vegas! And I'm connected. We have the Pro Bull Riders and the National Finals Rodeo coming up. And with that, some great country shows, too! Also, I know you have seen some of my shots of my ridin' in the mountains.  It's just an hour and a half away and I know Brad and Mary would love it!!! Keep thinkin' that way, my friend!
