I had Da Vinci surgery on Aug 4. Went back to work on Aug 25.  I spend most of the time in an office but occasionally I get on a fork lift for short periods of time.  I seem to have developed a problem with gas and diarrhea.  If I take immodium the diarrhea is slowed down but then I get gas.  Has anyone had similar problems?  Thanks

I didn't have the issue, at least this long after surgery. I know a lot of us have changed our diets somewhat, is it possible that you have too? If so, you might yary it around. If it's bad enough, you probably want to be talking to your doctor.

I had just the opposite problem. Took stool softeners for a several weeks after surgery.

Are you on any meds?

Either way, if it's been going on longer then a week - tell your doctor.

Antibiotics eliminate both  bad and good bacteria and flora from the system and subsequent use of medications usually only compound the problems.

After antibiotic use, internal flora needs to be replaced.
