Hi Magaboo, I wish you the best.

I am afraid I am heading in the same direction. When I saw my urologist three weeks ago, he mentioned that my last PSA (Sept 8) was 0.01 and everything looked very good. I asked whether it was <0.01 but I don’t remember getting an answer. I always request a copy of my test results. Last week I received them and it is actually =0.01. I am trying to e optimistic, but I can’t help thinking that it will keep rising. I started trying to find more information about treatment options and that’s how I found out about this forum.

Best of luck to all of us.

Frd

Hi Frd,
I caught your post an Magaboo's thread.  Welcome to the best PCa support site on the web.  Sorry you are here, but we are glad to have you.  I was 44 at Dx too.  When I look at your PSA numbers I have to think that you mean you are at 0.1.  Mostly because 0.01 would not be cause for action.

The group you will meet here is like no other on the net.  They are caring and compassionate in every way.  And I am sure will welcome you as well.  Look around and if you need anything, my EM is open to all.

Hi Frd,
Just a quick note to tell you that I'm sorry you have to be here, but also to welcome you to this site. You'll find a lot of caring, knowledgeable and compassioned people here that will do everything they can to help you to get thru this stressful part in your life. Your numbers are really very low and should not concern you at this time. Small variations in PSA level at such low numbers are apparently nothing much to worry about. Stay positive and enjoy life.
All the best to you.

Frd63,
Although we all know you'd rather not be here, welcome anyway. Don't get your knickers in too much of a knot if the levels are as you posted. <.01ng/L could mean the actual level obtained was .009ng/L and a mathematical increase of .001ng/L (a ridiculously small number) will then give a reading of .01ng/L. At that level it's meaningless.

Welcome to the club FRD, not many people want to join us for obvious reasons, but hey you are here so get your money's worth.
I would agree with everyone so far I think your PSA level is not a cause for concern. From everything I have read and what my doctor told me is this, if you get to .2 and have an increase for three measures then there is a reason to be concerned. Granted we do have cancer and the concern is always there, however if you can relax and enjoy life. Stick with us and please ask or say whatever you to, we love everyone.

peace and love
Dale
