I'm getting closer to crossing the bridge.  It weighs on my mind.

I wanted to know if continence post-surgery gan be regained to 100%, like now, or should I expect 99.9%, like one post I saw.  99.9% would be occasional stress incontinence, for activities I do now:
-  lifting 40 lbs of firewood
-  sneezing
-  squeezing out a fart
-  drinking a half-bottle of wine
-  bursting into laughter on occasion
-  having an orgasm (many posters here report release of urine during orgasm)

Yes or no for these kinds of activities?  And if yes, what do you do about it?  A light protective pad, or just deal with it?

Thanks HW'ers.
The past is gone, the future yet to come.
This moment, here and now, is nothing less than the totality of existence.

I get a little "squirt" every now and then from some of the things you listed and consider myself to be 100%....I don't leak any where near enough to warrant a pad.

I am 100%. I have a rare drip when bending forward and sideways while sitting in the floor cross legged. I figure if I wear no pads, don't give it any thought or worry about leaks and continue my life as such that I am 100%

I also am 100%. Occasionally I may leak a drop or two during orgasm -- but if I pull a big Kegel not even that. Only noticeable during musterbation -- my wife has not noticed any during intercourse, even though I have asked her explicitly.

Comming from a Heavy Leaker that never dried up on my own. I would define continent as when you return to a normal life and do not have to worry about pads, leaking, extra cloths, constantly looking for "facilities". I had the AUS and still wear a light women liner to catch some drips and dribbles. But I would say I'm Artificially Continenent!!!!!!!
Good Luck,

I'm also to that point of generally full continence with occasional stress issues. I do feel I am continuing to learn how to control the stress incontinence. For example, while sneezes used to cause leakage for me, now when I feel them coming I can control by bearing down a bit. I'm still getting better at anticipating what might cause the stress incontinence, and thus continue having gradual improvement. Close enough to call it 100%, to me anyway :-)
