One small thing I can do for the wife is be home for when people like the plumber come. That was today's chore. He came and fixed the bathroom faucets. Then he said, for the handheld shower, best to pick one up at the hardware store yourself.

I thought OK, the HW store is only a mile away, I have the leg bag on, and the car hasn't been started in two weeks and could use some warming up. (And Dave is more helpful around the house than I am) ;-)...So off I went! When I got there, I realized I didn't have the energy to roam the aisles as usual, so I concentrated on just getting what I needed. Came home, and fortunately it didn't require much strength to install, so I didn't have to stress the abdominals. The wife was quite pleased and proud of me.

After all that, it was a good time for a nap. :O

Sounds like a great first road trip. I hope you got a good psychological boost from 'actually doing something'. A small step for a man, a giant leap for recovery.
I wish you well on the rest of the road.
