Had a consultation with the PA at my surgeon's office about use of the Vacuum erection device. Manual model/

I'm in a study group of 40 guys with this practice to determine, through a very personal, and specific, study whether or not this impressive piece of equipment is actually beneficial to the rehabilitation of men who have had prostate surgery. They are trying to convince the insurance companies that this rather "larger than life" piece of post-operative paraphernalia is actually essential to the physical and mental well-being of the patient.  That way insurance would cover the cost of this incrredibly insightful invention would be borne by them.

What the heck. I'm all for it.

I opened the box when I got home, took one look, looked at wife and kind of arched one eyebrow.  "Whaddya say, baby?  Should we give it a try? Wait! Where're you going?"

"It's for my own good and it certainly couldn't hurt you either! What do you mean the dog has to go out?"

Sigh.  Perchance to dream.

The PA told me to be sure and practice with it before surgery.  Heck.  I may never leave the house. Ah, well.  More later.

Now what model and brand can elicit this much awe and admiration?  Maybe the rest of us are missing out on something new and radical?  tongue   Most insurance plans do cover pumps for rehab and replacement of function after surgical loss of ed, by the way

Just gathering scraps of info, I was tentatively planning on a combo of VED and pills post-op. Seems like VED might take the place of morning woodies and oxygenate the 'system'. Pills, well, pre-op, G-d's gift to man, look up the hilarious Robin Williams skit on Viagra.

Didn't know *when* to start though. Thought maybe 4-6 weeks out, some healing but well before it gets dusty. NOW I find out I should have been sucking on my wanger all along.

So much to learn.

Good luck from one Bob to another. It's pretty close for me now.
