hi all, new member here also. found out this forum after my surgery. 53 years old, had my robotic surgery 12/15/2008 and catheter removed 12/26/2008. was told both nerves spared. Have been taking viagra or cialis every other day since then but haven't really seen any result. I was able to achieve orgasm with a lot of stimulation although my surgeon told me not supposed to. He said i should wait for everything to heal better. I don't feel or feel very little hurt though as he described might happen. Wonder if it is ok for me to continue doing that despite his suggestion. also what is the dose of viagra or cialis for your guys? I had tried 50mg Viagra or 10mg cialis with no effect. Wonder if I should go the the whole pill, which is 100mg viagra or 20mg cialis. also the pump you guys talking about, are they the kind you see in adult store? or has to be the one prescribed by the surgeon? thank you very much in advance for all the suggestions! Happy 2009!

Welcome to HealingWell, njw,
Many great folks here to help you out. We also have some helpful hints in the fixed threads above. I came here before my surgery and found caring, loving people that were very glad to help. Your post above I found in another thread, so I moved it here to continue the discussion, and so that more members could see you in case they may be able to help. My surgery was a couple years ago almost and is becomng a distant memory. My nerves were spared and I was prescribed Cialis in 20mg doses. I was told I only needed 5mg but my doctor was aware that my insurance would only pay for so many, and he knew I could chop them in half myself. I have also tried other ED drugs as well. I had some early success, but I completely lost it due to additional therapies. We are seeing some improvements in my ED but I will have to lose a couple other medications first. I am scheduled to be free of those drugs starting in May, the Lord willing. Many of the guys here have had good luck in their recovery, and I wish you the same. My motto is stay positive! And it's a pretty good idea.
