Three months ago I had seeds implanted after receiving targeted radiation .  I am now receiving hormone supression threapy as well.  I take either cialis, viagra or lavitra every day.  Today I was able to ejaculate during ********** for the first time (phew).  I can get weak erections with much stimulation.  I have difficulty having erotic thoughts so ********** is difficult.  I would like to hear from others who might be further down the line as to whether their erections became more "normal" over time.  I feel that I am only pleasuring myself for "medicinal" reasons and not really for pleasure..i.e. to keep things working

Are you on hormone therapy as and added treatment because of like following something from an abstract study (Bolla idea or others) or were your stats such that the doc(s) mentioned this was needed up front before you started brachy seeds????

What kind of drugs are you using ADT1 (Lupron or Zoladex), or ADT2 (Lupron/Zoladex + casodex) or ADT3 (those two plus = proscar/avodart)??? If you are using the ADT drugs and not cadodex by itself, then you would have sexual loss while using such. Casodex alone works little differently.

You also might post your Dx-stats/treatment info like:

Dx-2002 Total urinary blockage, bPsa 46.6 12 of 12 biopsies 80-95% cancer in all of them, never staged by uro-doc, Gleason scores 7,8,9's about equally on both sides of gland, ct and bone scan were clear (looking), ADT3(5-6 months)+radiations external Neutron/Photon+ADT1-3 (2yrs.)-quit-started DES 1.5 yrs-quit-off drugs for almost 2 yrs., now resumed DES Nov. 2008, psa now .61 (down from 1.4 Oct. 2008)

Hi binkee,
Welcome to HealingWell. We are blessed with a great site here. So many will be glad to talk with you and lend help when they can. I have been on this road for over two years. Almost two years on hormone therapy. After surgery everything worked. The problem was my disease was advanced and we needed to add more therapies. HT is the culprit now. I joke that I can now shop well for shoes, I find interest in home decorating shows on TV, and I can shave while talking on the cell phone and still drive. The truth is, I have no libido. But there is good news coming. When we stop the HT, I may get it all back...:-)

Again, welcome and stay with us. You are most welcome.

Tony

What are your HT drugs? How long do you plan to stay on them?
