In another thread Clucky said...

Hey I dont know wether any of you guys want to talk to a British chap but I recently had a Robotic Prostatecomy in the UK which is still rare here. We are as you know a little conservative about surgery.

Evrything went well but I did not make the speedy recovory the manufacturers claim and feel dissapointed I still di not feel like running a marathon yet. I am still very leaky and a bit low about that. I am 9 week post opreative and use 4 pads per24 hours but do a fair bit of spaort which makes things worse. On my butt I am better.

I love your site and wish we had one in the UK its great to see people being so open

Thanks

Clucky,
Welcome to HealingWell. This is is definately international. We have representation from New Zealand, Thailand, Australia, Canada, Mexico, multiple places in Europe, and even Las Vegas...lol...You are not the first Brit by far. You are very welcome to join us and seek whatever it is you seek. If you can add a signature in your profile, you will get help from many that share your experience. One of the things I love about this site is I have made friends from all over the world, and I mean really good friends. We all share in the brotherhood (and sisterhood) of prostate cancer.

Welcome again and peace be with you...

Welcome Clucky maybe with the group you will feel like an occassional chucky-chuckle even. Sometimes we can even smile or have a laugh, too. Hey you gotta love the Brits (the war and Boston tea party was hundreds of years ago-I think about everyone got over that one). I think Paul Revere meant to inform us ahead of time about the "British are coming" yeah-yeah-yeah-that the Beatles, Stones, Who....etc.. are coming and rocked our world and still do years later.
Hope you find solace and information from our side of the pond, hey we wouldn't be speaking the Kings English if it were not for the Brits, of course it got morphed today by the hip-hoppers...ya know what I'm sayin, not exactly the proper snytax and spellings but that is progress???

I really like some of the Brit humor and words you use perhaps you can throw some new words unto us, slang expressions and such. We are all cut from the same cloth and PCa has no boundaries on this planet. Any interesting English chaps with PCa that are perhaps famous or infamous and their histories??

Hoping you have the "stiffies" come back, asap.
