I just got the results of my first P.S.A. test since going off of the casodex. The results were good. My P.S.A. dropped from 1.49 to .16. Pretty happy :-) :-) tongue turn turn tongue wink wink

It is my understanding that this drop in P.S.A. post cassodex will last 8-12 months or longer. That is comforting. I am hoping for a long remittion once again. Todd

Todd, very very happy for you.. That is a huge drop, hope it does stay that way and let you enjoy a good period of remission, you certainly deserve it.

Kudos to you guitarman (was in your bio), I presume you know about casodex and the idio synchracies that can occur in some situations? I also bet you might consider singing a little gig and maybe right here on the forum, too. (sweet home Alabama....where the skies are so blue....)-ok, don't quit my day job is what I'm hearing.

Good news when psa is not rising and better when we see declines.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes and the positive replies. I was talking to Amanda last night and it dawned on me

. "I am a miracle" Some may scoff and that is okay but anyone who looks at my signature and knows my story has to realize that as sick as I was that I should have been dead last year or sooner. Instead my psa went from over 3200 to .16 and there is not one tumor that can be seen on a cat scan. Bless God.

Hello Todd,

I must agree with you that you are a miracle in more than just one way. I was once told that "miracles happen to people who believe in them". Great news on your report.. it gives us all hope.

Best regards,

Don

Thank you Don. It feels strange being a symbol of hope as most of my life I have had my picture in the dictionary next to screw-up. This disease will not take me without a fight and I believe that God is in my corner on this one. Todd

Well just make sure that the curtains are closed and lights off or down low, got a few extra red light bulbs if you need them. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

Great news, Todd,

Down from 3200...incredible. That truly is wonderful.
All the best, and good luck with the baby thing.

Todd,
You pull it off buddy, and I tell you it would be extremly inspirational. To have a 3200 PSA, get through treating it to remission and then fathering another child would be amazing. And I am your biggest fan. I will send prayers for this to be so. One for the press even...

Way to go my friend. For the record I enjoy our many conversations. Now lets keep that PSA under control so me you and Tony can meet in Vegas for some music.

peace to you

The problem with having had kids is how much you miss those childhood years once they're grown and left the nest. Mind you my wife reckons the biggest kid is still here.
