My Oncologist and Radiologist got together yesterday and with my input came up with a treatment recommendation.
Casodex and Proscar for a total of 8 weeks, then seed implants followed by 5 weeks of IMRT, continue with Casodex and Proscar.
This seems reasonable to me as it minimizes the side affects and the seeds can be targeted to the tumor. I was not looking forward to the Lupron side affects and the addition of seeds was a surprise as I expected a full course of IMRT.
I've been on Casodex and Proscar for 2 weeks with absolutely no side affects. PSA went from 30 to 15 after 6 days of Casodex and Proscar.
As I said, this seems reasonable, but have I missed anything?
