Well, the news was good. My PSA was below the machine's detectable range of 0.014, a Very Good Thing as Martha would say. Incontinence is, except for an occasional drop or two, under control. However, Mister ED still says "No horsing around" (sorry, I couldn't resist:-) but that may change over time, we hope. I pick up my pump today so we'll start working that issue now that the higher priority items seem to be under control. Another PSA in three months.

Biopsy - 03/04/08 -> Gleason 6 
 
06/25/08 - Da Vinci robotic laparoscopy
Catheter in for five weeks.
Dry after 3 months.
 
10/03/08 - 1st Quarter PSA -> less then .01
01/16/09 - 2nd Quarter PSA -> less then .01

Welcome to the Zero Club.  Hope that you Recover from Mr. Ed, but if not, you have many options to work with that can get you horsing around again sooner than later.  Congratulations on the Zero and good luck to you.

Dx PCa age 54. Jly 05- PSA 8.1 Sept 05- PSA 10.7
Sept 05- Biopsy  9 of 12 cancerous, Gleason 3+3=6, T2
Bone scan and cat scan showed hot spot on hip bone.
Oct 05- bone biopsy, ouch.  benign , no cancer in bones.
Nov 05- PSA 15.4 Nov 18, 05- Nerve sparing open RP at Huntsman Cancer Center, by Dr. Robert Stevenson. 100% continence at 3 months. ED- Tried the big 3 pills with no results. Feb 06-Started VED, worked, but painful with constriction rings. May 06 started Trimix injections.
ED appears to be perminant but doing great with Trimix.
PSA remains undetectable.

Gleason 4+3=7 (80% grade 4) Stage T2c
Neither extracapsular nor perineural invasion is identified
CT scan and Bone scan show no evidence of metastases
Da Vinci RP Aug 10th 2007
Post-op pathology:
Positive for perineural invasion and 1 small focal extension
Negative at surgical margins, negative node and negative vesicle involvement
Some 4+4=8 identified ........upgraded to Gleason 8
PSA Oct 07 <0.1 undetectable

PSA caught in life insurance exam.
Completely asymptomatic.
April 08 Biopsy: Gleason Grade 3+4=7
Tumor in 5 of 13 cores
July 22, 08 Radical Robotic Prostatectomy
All nerves spared
Pathology: Margins clean, Seminal Vesicles negative for tumor
Gleason Grade 3+4=7 Percent Gleason Grade 4-20% no Gleason grade 5.
First post-op PSA scheduled for 10/08
Very minor incontinence since catheter removal on 7/29
ED assisted by low dose of Levitra. So far so good.
I feel very, very lucky.
First post op PSA 11/19/08 <.02 undetectable!
Second post op PSA 2/18/09 <.01 undetectable!

IMRT radiation for 38 Treatments ending August 3, '07

Testosterone keeps rising, the current number is 156, up from 57 in May

Hi all, just got my first post op PSA....the doc said "undetectable" which is anywhere from .0 to .03, so i said i would take that as a 0.
still leaking like a sieve and flacid as a wet noodle but gaining ground every day.
