Well it's been a while since I have posted and been able to check in but wanted to post may latest results. As some of the long time members may remember my story that started in the fall of 2006, I had surgery in which all looked well only to have the surprize reacurrance 9 months later thus moving on to salvage radiation in the spring and early summer of 2008. Anyway my latest doctor appointment on March 17th turned out to be once again good results with a reading of <.06 which is as low as my clinic can read. I am now 9 months out from finishing the salvage radiation and so far so good and all looks well. I feel great and will continue to enjoy and cherrish each day of life.

Thanks for all the support over these past 30 months and here's hoping each and everyone has great sucess with thier treatments.

Hey Norskie,

Its great to see you again. And with such good news, we send you our heartfelt good wishes for continued success with the radiation.

You are so right about cherishing each day of life for we never know what tomorrow will bring. I was about ready to declare myself free of cancer and to get my life back to normal when I was hit with lung cancer. So I decided that wherever I am in my cancer treatment is going to have to be normal for me. Cancer changes our lives and going back to normal is impossible. The only thing I can control is my attitude and how I react to the challenge. I can let it take me out or I can turn it into a victory. I choose the later...

Ditto what Jim said, Norskie,

I remember all of it. And I am sure glad to see the great results. I remember coming here and guys like you and Jim, and so many others, getting me through those first days. I won't ever forget the support I received. It's why I stayed.

Thank you so much...

Love and Peace...

Norski,
It is great to hear your results! I hope they stay there forever. I finished my salvage RT 1/14/09 and have not had a psa yet but will soon. I wondered how long after you finished your RT did you get your first psa and what was your numbers? I wish you and everyone else on this board the best.
