I am currently at almost 7 months from surgery and can have an orgasm but no erection. I have tried cialis and levitra 20 mg. I have also injected 3 times with trimix. With the trimix injections I find the top half of my penis very painfull when it becomes semi erect. When I`m standing there is a 3/4 erection (painfull) and when I lie down the erection falls away, but the pain subsides.

My Dr. has given me a prescription for muse and says that it will work well without the pain if place inside the uretha properly. Can anyone give me any advice on using muse or on the trimix, with any success. I`m asking because I now have a $122.00 worth of trimix which I can`t use now

Thanks Fred

Muse is an insertable ED med. (alprostadil) Edex is the injectable ED med (alprostadil). The trimix you used probably contains alprostadil too. I tried Muse years ago but found out that I could not obtain a usable erection every time. When I switched to Edex I found that I can obtain a usable erection every time without pain or discomfort. I have used Edex or Caverject for 10 years. Suggest you try an "alprostadil only" injection if you don't have sucess with Muse. Best wishes as you try to find something that works best for YOU! Al

Hi

I tried 3 doses of Muse but it never worked for me and all I got was the Caverject pain. My doctor then went to Caverject Impulse injections which worked fine but is unavailable right now. Edex which is the same drug but different company is available but they have a different applicator. I had great erections (with both) which lasted for 4 hours but also had lots of pain.

Now I'm on the lowest version of Trimix. It works fine with hardly any pain. Some guys on here combine Viagra with a really small dose of Trimix. You might try that approach.

Hi Fred.  I have never used Muse so can't be much help.  I guess I am one of the fortunate guys where Cialis and Levitra seem to work.  David

Fred,

I tried Muse and while it gave an erection firm enough for penetration it was just not firm enough. In the beginning my doctor's PA injected me with Caverjet(alprostadil) and I had severe aching. He then placed me on Bimix which has no alprostadil and I used that for a couple of years with no pain. While Bimix worked it lack giving me that little extra firmness. I had read on this forum of other men using Trimix compounded with a lower percentage of alprostadil then standard. I got a prescription for Trimix with one fourth the amount of alprostadil and have been using it with good success. I still get a little aching but it is not much. In the last year I have been able to reduce the dosage level as my erections are responding better. At the beginning at was using up to .35 cc's of Bimix. I am now at 0.1 cc of Trimix and still adjusting downward. Since both my nerves were saved I suspect my experience may not be reflective of what you can expect.

Good Luck.
