Hi,
I have tried the VED pump but I never got a usable erection even with using 2 rings. My doctor prescribed trimix for me which I'll start using soon. He suggested that I should start with the lowest dosage (.01) and see if that works, if not, then I can go up to .02 the following day and so on. Will using the pump or some ED medication in conjunction with trimix help? I've read some posters talking about trimix causing some pain, how long does the pain last? Does trimix work even when no nerves were spared? That a lot of questions but as you can see I'm new at this business.

Hey Ed,

I have used Trimix successfully since 8/07 when I was 8 months post surgery. My doc gave me the first injection and showed me how to do it. He gave me .1 cc which was way too much and caused a lot of pain. Over the next several months I experimented with various combinations of L-Arginine (a supplement that enhances blood flow), Viagra (from ADC) and Trimix. My combination that works every time and lasts for about an hour and a half is: 50 mg Viagra, wait a half hour, manually stimulate until plump then inject .03 cc of Trimix. Within 10 minutes of foreplay I am ready to go.

Both my nerves were spared so maybe someone with more experience in that area will jump in here...

Ed,

The aprostadil portion of the Trimis is what causes the pain. I would characterize it more as an ache instead of pain. I was on Bimix for a while but felt the erections were just not firm enough. I had tried Caverjet which is all aprostadil at the beginning and had severe aching. I read on this forum where some posters were using Trimix but with a lower percentage of Aprostadil then the standard Trimix. Since Trimix is a compounded medication it can be customized. I got a prescription for Trimix using one fourth the amount of Alprostadil then standard. That has worked fine for me and I am still refining the dosage. I am at .10 cc now and still going down in amount. I was using .25 cc of Bimix. I get a little aching with the Trimix. I have combined Levitra and Bimix/Trimix and it does help. Jim has a good plan so give it a try.

Good Luck.

Ed

Trimix/Bimix/Caverject/Edex all work with no nerves. The drug causes the blood to rush in and engorge your penis. The aching pain comes from the Aprostadil which doesn't affect some guys, who are extremely lucky as far as I am concerned. You can have a low Libido or no Libido and Aprostadil will work.

I would follow your doctor's advice although I have found that if I miss the correct spot when I inject, I don't wait a day. I simply go to the other side and give myself another injection. However, I'm using really low doses of the Trimix and an extremely small, short needle.

Taking Ibuproven before injecting will help with the pain. I usually take an Advil before I use the syringe. Btw, like others on here, I have found that I'm needing a smaller and smaller dose as time goes by.
