Hi llfjsf,

A little 'Imodium' did the trick for me. Also, my Onc advised me to cut down on vedgies and fresh fruit. And eat more meat, bread and potato's.
All the best to you

Hi llfjsf,

Immodium worked very well for me. I also took a couple of glasses a day of psyllium powder (metamucil but I used the Equate brand). It may seem counter intuitive to use a laxative when you are having no such problem. However, the fiber keeps the stool in somewhat solid form and you will not get the rectal burning from the acid in the stool. I have heard from others who did the same with good results. If you do not have the desired result just stop taking the powder.

Good luck with your treatment and hope you have excellent results and few side effects.

Don

Now that Don mentions it, my dad did end up taking some metamucil too. We all thought it was odd because we thought it was for constipation, but his oncologist shared the same info that Don provided above and it worked.
