Got the results today. As I expecetd, he needs radiation. He's now T3A, N1, MX. The dr. said one out of 13 lymph nodes was positive, but seemed to think that was the only thing that mattered. He said the positive margins were irrelevant because of that. He said they cut away as much as possible, but it was stuck to the rectum area. One thing I just noticed on the report says under Volume: Extensive, 621 sq. mm, equal to volume greater than 2 cc. Does anyone know what this means?
Prayers and best wishes,

Hi Dana,
I just posted some recent studies for the Stage 3x guys. They are favorable to proactive treatment. The best was from Europe, but published by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) that said there is significantly better results for treating with hormone therapy and radiation therapy after RP.

The report just says the tumor was large. It was pretty close to mine in size. His doctors will consider this stage IV cancer. But it does not change the treatment protocol. He will need to look at additional therapy, but he can do well with them.

Many prayers to you both...
