I just posted some recent studies for the Stage 3x guys. They are favorable to proactive treatment. The best was from Europe, but published by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) that said there is significantly better results for treating with hormone therapy and radiation therapy after RP.
The report just says the tumor was large. It was pretty close to mine in size. His doctors will consider this stage IV cancer. But it does not change the treatment protocol. He will need to look at additional therapy, but he can do well with them.

HT began in May, '07 with Lupron and Casodex 50mg (2 Year ADT)
IMRT radiation for 38 Treatments ending August 3, '07
