I am 9 weeks post op. Recovery going well; workouts etc. Spontaneously while sitting with no activity, I develop a severe pain in right groin area this past Thursday. Pain severe enough that the vicidin genereric doesn't mask. Over the weekend my pain center has drifted to the left/upper leg groin area. Pain mostly in actual movements generally mild when sitting or prone. Have to use a cane for support to walk. Been advised that this may be a complication, take some Aleve. Any comments as a Da Vinci complication or should I be looking elswhere for a root cause. (Feels like severe muscle strain groin, pubic mound and kegel area) Thanks.

What you describe does not sound like a "usual" pain or discomfort after surgery.  It might be nothing important, but I would talk to a doctor today to make sure.  Please let us know how things go.

urbanreha1-

I thought this was just a muscle strain.  I have had it from the day of surgery but it has gotten worse since I started full workouts.  This has been 7 months.  It feels like a muscle strain in the right groin area.  It seems like a long time, but it definately feels muscular.

A pain this severe is telling you something is wrong. Perhaps nothing to do with you surgery. I would urge a trip to the ER

Greetings, Urbanreha1.  We get pain to tell us something - particularly intense pain like you describe.  I'd get to my doctor ASAP just to rule things out if nothing else.  David

Ditto all of the above... Go see a Dr. about it. Now is good. I had my prostate removed and a hernia repaired - little to no pain after. Your pain does not sound "normal" to me.

I'm very glad to hear that you are getting this looked at after what must have been a hellish weekend. Now we can hope for a quick diagnosis and a simple cure.
