It looks like we may be suffering a spammer attack.  We'll try to keep it cleaned up and reported to Admin as we see it.  In the meantime, a reminder that a new poster who pops up, with no details of their cancer and with a link to some website is most likely a dirty, rotten spammer and should be ignored.  If people who post for the first time, with second or third hand advice and links can't share a little info in their first or second post, then we all should be very skeptical.

If you spot what you think might be spam, go ahead and report it to Admin, don't mention it in the thread, but please also email one of us moderators to alert us of it's location and your action. Sometimes the moderators may be in real life for hours or even a day or so, even with 4 of us now, so any reporting is helpful.   When you report it to us, we will go there and decide what to do, as far as deleting links, or whole messages.  If the whole post or thread disappears later, that usually means Peter has killed the account.  He may or may not come back to you to acknowledge your alert or his actions.  He's a busy guy and may not get back to you.  If a regular member spots what may be spam, feel free to report it to Admin (Peter).  It isn't necessary to confront the poster or even post in the thread that you reported it, as that might open up a can of worms with flaming and such. Let's let the moderators try to sort out the bad guys from the legit ,merely accidental first time poster who may not have taken the time to read the rules.  Now if the spammer is offering a guaranteed herbal cure for all cancer in 5 minutes for $2.99 plus postage, or is sellling Nike running shoes, there's no hard decision to be made and one of us will immedialtely kill it, after copying it the original content for Peter to see later.  We can kill the threads/posts,  but Peter only has the power to delete member accounts.
