SkyDaver, kw, egor, et al, I am scheduling the procedure to have an Advance Male Sling and would like to know the recovery time you experienced so that I can plan my future after the procedure. I understand that there is a risk of urine retention and if that comes, I'll just deal with it. However, I am more interested in how long it will take to get out and about comfortably as I would like to plan a trip with a pretty lady afterwards.

Thanks for any input, TSFFZ

I have a detailed account of my sling experience in "My Journey" at the links in my signature.  The sling will probably be in the second link but I am not sure.  It may take a little scrolling to find it.

I hope yours goes well and you get the results you are looking for.

kw, Thanks for the info. It appears that you were relatively pain-free at about two weeks when you returned to work. I'm sorry that you went through all of that without getting the results that you wanted. Hopefully, mine will be more successful as I am starting out with much less leakage. I only use one very light pad/day but the drips here and there after 18 months are really getting me down!

Thanks!

Quick answer is every bit of 6 weeks, but everyone heals at various rates.

Repeated from a related thread:

I had the AdVance sling installed and would be glad to answer any questions as well.

Although the first week - 10 days was rough for me, I am very pleased with the results. Definitely fixed the leakage! Have played golf last two weekends at full strength and been running since week 7. All is back to order with minor awareness that things continue to heal down below.

Best of luck with your adventure.
