14 weeks out from DaVinci and I seem to be going along ok. One thing I have noticed is that sometimes I feel as if I have had a small leak but on checking in the bathroom all is dry. Just wondering if anybody has had the same thing along the road to recovery. By the way this forum is very informative and I can find nothing the same in England.
Diagnosed February 2009. Gleason 6, Psa 7.2, 12 core biopsy, and then Mri scan, which showed organ specific.
DaVinci at Addenbrookes, Cambridge, England 18th May 2009.  Nerves removed one side.
Catheter in for 8 days, no pain, no post op problems apart from an infection, cleared with antibiotics.
Some aching around the penis, which still occurs.
6 week psa 0.1, post op pathology all good, confirming pre op tests. Ed a problem, no treatment as yet.
Light ladies pad during the day, just to control a slight dampness and a Tena for  men pad at night for occassional leakage.
Awaiting 3 month consultation at the moment.

welcome Dogbot,
It is difficult for me to say if that is exactly what I felt, but it was close. Most of this passes with time and becomes a memory and my guess this is just a samll glitch, especially if you are dry. I think most of us have so many different respones to surgery that you are likely to find someone with that same issue. But overall it sounds like you are doing quite well and hopefully your 3 month checkup will support that.

This seems similar to my experience for several weeks (maybe a couple months) after DaVinci but doesn't happen often 9 months later. Early on I would put a small piece of toilet paper in my underwear to check my observation and many times it would still be dry (other times there might be a small wet spot). My feeling was there might be a very small leakage at the bladder (hence the feeling) but it wasn't enough to flow out. I feel fortunate that my major incontinence was over within a month to six weeks and just these small artifacts remain. I hope your experience will be the same as good or even better.

Best regards,
Jake

Same here...even still today I sometimes think I leaked a little but haven't....maybe it has more to do with nerve healing and regeneration...dunno but that is what I think anyway.

Same description as Les's . Will get the sensation that I just had a drip, and when I check, nothing.

Had my davinci 3 weeks ago. had the experience today, where I was sure there was a drip. But totaly dry. Someone said its a type of bladder spasm.

Just counting my blessings that I've been 100% dry.

Yup -- I have the same experience. I think I'm leaking but find no evidence. I have wondered if the reconfiguration of our parts means that the signals we get are slightly different. After all, we learned our leak detection response a lot of years ago and so maybe we have some re-learning to do.

Larry - that's great on the 100% part

geezer - whats funny, is that most women have urge/stress incontinence, especially those that have had children, and they think nothing of it. My wife finds it amusing how obsessive we men are in dealing with some of the more minor incontinence issues. Must be a guy thing on our part. I was certainly taught that it wasn't proper to wet your pants.

Greetings, everyone.  I'm about 18 months post surgery and have been mostly dry since my catheter was removed.  But I still get that feeling every once in a while and nothing is there.  Kind of like a twitch down there.  Nearly always, just a feeling and no leakage.  David

I'm just the opposite. I look down in my pad and see a string leading from my p*nis to the pad. I am flowing and don't even feel it. Darn.
On the bright side, I do not waste pads - every one is full when I toss them.
