Hi I am new to this forum.
I came to the world of PC when I was 46 years, that was almost five years ago.

my pathology is as fallow.

gleason 3+3

tummor 5%

all marging clear.

pt2nxmx.

last week I had my psa =0.003.

I always had belong to a support group, because I think God gave me the oportunity to help other people,

that are facing this monster.

Five years ago,I went into pc by myself but the the help of God and that was more than enough, but let face it

it is better when some one help you .so, I had seen many members coming and after several months

when they feel better they go and mind their own bussiness.I am in another suppport group which I intend to

leave because they are few members which does not speack the truth about how they are progresing in the post

surgery, and that does not help the new men that come for the first time.I hope you guys acept me your forum,I

had seen many cases and any help I can offer I will be glad to do it God bless you all.

gold horse, welcome to the forum , glad you came, hate you have to be here. It would be helpful if you could make a signature and list the details of your journey so far. Go to Control Panel above, then click edit profile, then scroll to the bottom of that page and fill in the signature box.

I hope you can find this forum is useful for whatever reason you need it for.

Hi Gold Horse,
Welcome to HealingWell. Please don't be discouraged if/when any of our members don't subscribe to belief in God or Faith. I respect them and try to minimize the conversation. But I am open (Email) for personal contact and I do believe that my faith has played a major role in staying positive and looking for the positive side of this experience. I have written about it in my journal below. You seem to be doing well and have good numbers in your cancer experience. I second James thoughts about setting up a signature so that others can understand your journey. Stay close and stay well.

May peace be with you.

Welcome to HW we are glad to have you. I to will say that my faith in God was instrumental in my being able to maintain a positive attitude in the face of obstacles. Like Tony said I respect everyone regardless of their faith based beliefs. God indeed has placed a hand on you and I thank you for reaching out. Do not be discouraged at folks that do not embrace your line of thinking.
By the way glad to see you are doing well after five years and congrats on still being a zero. Stay with us my friend.

I personally would go with Ra the Egyptian Sun-God, or perhaps Ganesh the Elephant-God although if you want a deity with real oomph perhaps Huitzilopochtli, Sun-God of the Aztecs who has a definite fetish for human hearts. I am unsure about their success rate with PCa though.

Bill,
Don't ever change. I love your sense of humor. We are not secular here, it does not matter what a person believes spiritually when they come here. It only matters that they can ask what ever they need to ask. Consider it the placebo effect, if you don't believe in it. There isn't any recruiting going on so let's let the peace prevail.

Tony, as I've explained before I have no problem with people of religion. You know that what I always objected to is raising religion within a cancer forum. I often think of Gordy and the attacks on him by the "compassionate" religious. The initial post was more about a deity relationship than PCa.

When and if we see any rules violations we will take care of it. There is tolerance here at HW specified in the rules. This poster is welcome to share his experience with prostate cancer, even if through his eyes in faith as long as it is within the rules outlined.

With all due respect Tony, you must be then be prepared to permit and encourage negative comments regarding deities if you intend being evenhanded.........and you know what that leads to. Or will those who have a different opinion of religion be discriminated against?

At least Ganash the Elephant god looks cool, have a small one on my fireplace mantle as my "respect" all religions theme in my home.

I am a non-golfer, but would have no reason to bash golfers, unless they hit me with a ball or club first. Then I would write them to death

Hopefully Bill calls out his wife's name! ;-) No need to bring anyone else into the equation.
Just for the record, I thank my wife for the meals she prepares.

Not only am I a non golfer, I'm a snipped, non-golfer. Does that mean all my pee pad data is now in question?

One of the nice things about this site is the "ignore" user button. I can click it in 85 milliseconds.

Not sure I understand where all of this rudeness comes from. If I chose to promote drinking horse pee to lower my PSA, I don't think I would receive the offensive and rude comments we see for those who happen to find great comfort in their faith.

Welcome Gold Horse. We look forward to your input on this forum.

Rudeness, offensive............what rudeness and offensiveness? I have never been rude nor offensive to anybody.........Your relationship between you and whatever god you have is your private business and good luck to you.  Praising your particular deity has no place on a cancer forum. What is it about the religous that they cannot see that this has nothing to do with anyone finding finding comfort in religion but rather using a cancer forum as a venue for giving praise. shakehead

Bill,
Anyone who wants to share their opinions can do it here if it pertains to prostate cancer, if even only in their eyes.

For example: A person comes here and let's us know he is trying to get his golf game into a single digit handicap.

Golf has nothing to do with prostate cancer. Wouldn't you agree? But to a golfer, being laid up, unable to play is distressing to them. So we allow a topical discussion about golf and prostate cancer.

And if someone wants to protest the very mention of golf at a cancer forum...

Oy, such waste of good bandwidth...
