Hey guys ...........

Legs, my legs are becoming extreamly ITCHY, and then break out into major weeee  pimples......   my lower legs swell some also.

History : @ 51 stage 7Gleason, 10.5hours on the table..... two weeks stay. Home for a week, then my bladder comes apart.....so back in for another 10days.....

Two years later, Radiation treatments.....

4years later, it's back  slow climb they say, but down the road...I'll be in treatment again. NOW ~  my left kidney needs to come out, cancer (different type of course) So I'm just new /now 59 years old.

Is anyone having trouble with their legs "?"  "?"

Like my ankles & lower legs are swelling some,  but mercy talk about a poison ivy type itch...... into raw meat.

Any thoughts  guys ?

Fraser,
This is a long shot but I have Celiac disease (gluten intolerance). about 1 in 250 have this intolerence. Within this small group there is a sub-section (about 2.5%) whose only noticeable symptom is an intensly itching rash called Dermatitis Herpetiformis. When I say rash it is more red pinpoints that become small fluid filled blisters. The itching is absolutely intense.........you will rake at it with whatever is handy and it will wake you from the deepest sleep and is actually worse at night. It usually strikes on one or all of these places: the buttocks, knees, elbows, feet and is strangely symmetrical (same place, same time both sides of the body) For some reason it does not normally crop up in men till after 40. Hits about 10 in 100,000...........aren't I lucky! Took about 8 years to get a correct diagnosis and even then it was me who suggested it to the dermo guy after I spotted something on the internet. It can be a dormant genetic condition that can be triggered by bodily trauma (such as pregnancy in women, an accident or an operation)

Fraser,
I have only just noticed you are a newcomer. Welcome to the forum. There are many great fellas here (some wives as well), a wealth of information and all are keen to help. Many have had the same journey as yourself. Post your signature (your journey so far) by going to control panel (top left of this page) then to "edit profile" and fill out the signature section at the bottom of that page. Again, welcome to this illustrious group.

Fraser - I would seek out medical treatment ASAP...You could be

experiencing an allergic reaction to something.

Fraser,

I have had problems since surgery and along the way I thought I knew the diagnosis, but as I have been to a few Dr.'s the dx. has been anything from herniated disc to neuropathy. My GI Dr. told me it was too much stool in my colon.  Point being that seeing a good specialist is important when the symptoms get to a certain point. I have burning down into my legs plus around the back and tingling, pins and needles. The burning is like you say, tight into the meat and bones. Ouch! Havent got a good answer yet, but my primary Physician wont give up till the cause is found and tx. has begun. Good luck as if it is as painful as my symptoms are, it can keep you down.

Michael
