Hi Guys,
I am stileaking quite a bit 6 weeks after the catheter but wanted to see if there was any life left in Jr.  So, I went to an adult shop an bought a pump.  Should I start using it even if I am still incontinent?  I tried once and it started to fill with urine.  Any advice?

LenB, I see you are 65. google osbon pump, medicare will cover it with a prescripition fm your Dr. They are good ones. Can't imagine what kine they have in adult store. I got prescription on initial consult with Doc, To be used for blood flow only for 2 weeks, start right after catheter removal. Got an erection 1st attempt, it will not sustain without rings. Do not use rings till after the 2 week practice sessions. As far as urine goes, its sterile. think out of the box Just get it used to being filled with blood. This whole post op stuff is step by step, with PATIENCE!!! Jack

I'm 3 1/2 months out and still leak 3 pads per day. I use the pump in the shower and have to dump it out periodically. It's disgusting but if it helps keep willie alive I'm willing to do it. So far I can't say that it's done anything but I figure this is along road and I'm moving 6 inches 4 inches at a time. Sigh.

I have almost decided to try the pump. So far for me nothing has worked. I suppose I should wait and see if the libido comes back first. Since I still have a prostate I never had to deal with incontinence.

peace to all

If you are still leaking, I would continue to use the sex shop pump. All you're doing is keeping things stretched out and a bit of veinous blood flowing. Use it in the shower and it is no problem. For best results, lather up the area, pump up, let it hang while you wash up, give a few more pumps and then remove it, rinse it out and you're all set. The urine won't hurt that pump and if it does, who cares at only $30 or so. I would save the pro pumps for sex and stuff - you may want to keep those drier.

I use the pump in the shower and noticed that around half of the liquid in the tube is shower water that got sucked in. No question, there's urine in there too but the quantity of liquid in the tube varies with whether or not the shower is running. Just lie to yourself and pretend it is all water.
