In another thread, someone asked where I am located.
 
That got me thinking: anyone here live in mid-Michigan?

PSA-- 3/08--2.90;  8/09--4.01; 11/09--4.19 (Free PSA 24%), this after 45 days on cipro!
 
History of BPH/prostatitis.
 
Awaiting results of my PCA-3 test which will determine whether a biopsy is in my immediate future. Just in: BAD NEWS: PCA-3 = 75.9! Cut-off is 35. Biopsy scheduled for 11/30

I could only move as far north as Toledo, so my tax dollars go to OSU.
 
But I do go over the border frequently.

We're in the Plymouth/Canton area. Know Rochester Hills pretty well.

i move to columbus, oh three years ago but I alwasy consider myself as a Michiganer. I lived in Bloomfield Hills, MI for 14 years. still love Michigan. travel to michigan very often. Also I am a UM fan (sorry buckeye fan smilewinkgrin smilewinkgrin )

Age 58, PSA 4.47 Biopsy - 2/12 cores , Gleason 4 + 5 = 9
Da Vinci, Cleveland Clinic  4/14/09   Nerves spared, but carved up a little.
0/23 lymph nodes involved  pT3a NO MX
Catheter and 2 stints in ureters for 2 weeks .
Neg Margins, bladder neck negative
Living the Good Life, cancer free  6 week PSA  <.03
3 month PSA <.01 (different lab)
5 month PSA <.03 (undetectable)
6 Month PSA <.01
1 pad a day, no progress on ED.  Trimix injections

very dispointed for the game! for the past few years, they just can't get it right. being a UM fan is very tough in OH you know. LOL

My husband is a buckeye fan, we all have Jim trusle's autograph with his photo. however, my daughter refuce to wear buckeye outfit smilewinkgrin

My mother lives near St. Johns, MI. I summer in Petoskey. Went to U of M Ann Arbor. Even though I live near the big apple, my kids still consider Michigan to be home.
46 at Diagnosis.
Father died of Pca 4/07 at 86.
10/07 PSA 5.06 (Biopsy 11/07 1 of 12 with 8% involvment) (1mm)

Saved both nerve bundles.

Pad free on March 14 - (10 weeks.) Never a problem since.

YES, OHION STATE

we miss michigan a lot, both richard and I had very good doctors when we were in michigan. after we moved to ohio, just couldn't get doctor right, don't like our family doctor and his urologist. we are talking about after richard retired, we want move to ann arbor which is very nice place to live.

OhioState, you are right. i told Richard that there are many good PC doctor in michigan that is another reason for us move back. you know, if we still live in michigan, my husband's surgery would be done at Henry ford, sonny's sergeon.

Richard's family doctor was able find out that he had little build up in his blood vine at neck area just by listen to it.

oh well, i do believe that there are great doctor here in columbus just we need time to find out.

The sound in a stenosed (partially blocked) carotid artery is called "bruits". Bruits can typically be heard when there is >40% but less < 90% blockage.
