Hello Everyone...just a note to let you know I got a 0.010 on my recent PSA test that marked 19 months since my da Vinci.  Everything seems to be going right for me as my AUS is still holding very well also.  The penile implant functions and serves its purpose without failure.  So, all in all, I can't really complain.  Wish everyone Good Luck and hope you have had a happy Thanksgiving and looking forward to a joyous and Merry Christmas.

PSA 3.8 18 Jan 08
Biopsy 11 Mar 08 Gleason 8 (4+4) on the right 3 out of 12 positive <5%. Gleason 7 (4+3) on the left 1 out of 11 positive <5%.
Bone scan and CT scan Negative 12 Mar 08
Robot Assisted da Vinci prostectomy with Dr Fagin in Austin scheduled for 30 April 08.

da Vinci successfully completed by Dr Fagin as scheduled.
Path Report:
Gleason downgraded to 3+4=7
Tumors confined to the prostate.
Bilateral tumor on right side 5 of 10 levels and on left side tumor present in 9 of 10 levels.
Margins Negative.
Extraprostatic Extension Negative
Seminal Vesicle Invasion Negative
Stage pT2c
As far as it goes between you, me and the fence post I am cured. 
06-24-08 <0.1 Undetectable.
09-23-08 <0.1 Undetectable.
01-10-09 <0.01 Undetectable. 
04-17-09 <0.1 Undetectable.
AUS/IPP installed by Dr Morey 1/21/09 Activation 03/09/09 successfully completed by Dr Morey...All Systems GO!  99.9% continent.

Age Dx 37, 7/2008, First PSA : 4.17 5/2008
Second PSA After 2 weeks of antibiotics : 3.9 6/2008
DRE: Negative 5/2008, Biopsy: 6 out 12 Postive all on right side, Gleason 7 (3+4). Bone Scan/CAT Scan: Clear 7/2008
Cystoscope: Normal 7/2008, Prostate MRI: Normal 7/2008
Da Vinci Surgery 7/2008, PostOp: T2c (On Both sides), margins clear, seminal clear, nodes, clear. Gleason 6(3+3).
5 Post OP PSA's from 9/2008 to 12/2009: <0.1

Congratulations! I hope Dr. Fagin did as good a job on me as he did on you. Do you live in Austin?

2 cores out of 12 were positive Gleason (4+4) and (4+5)
Negative CT scan and bone scan done on 1/16
Robotic surgery performed 2/9/09 Dr Fagin, Austin TX
Pathology report:
Prostate weighed 57 grams size:5.2 x 5.0 x 4.9 cm
Posterior lateral lesions measuring 1.5 x 1.4 x 1.0 cm showing focal capsular penetration over a distance of 3mm.
Prostatic adenocarciroma accounts for approx. 10-20% of the hemisphere.
Gleason 4+4
both nerve bundles removed,
pT3a Nx Mx, Negative margins
seminal vesicles clean, lymph nodes: not dissected
continent after 4 months
8 weeks PSA test 4/7/09 result <0.1
5 months PSA test 7/9/09 result <0.1
