I am 15 months out from surgery and in zero club. My problem is I'm still leaking. I find that when I walk alot it increases leakage. I will fill a pad a day. I know that does'nt seem like much but at this stage it's a drag. When I work out with power walking I can half fill a pad in 45 minutes. I feel I've probably come as far as I'm going to in this area. I know alot of you guys out there are in the newer stages of our battle. Anyone out there that has gotten better at a later stage. I'm thankful for my zeros but I'm sick of water in the basement.

As always Carry On.

I realize I am a noob at incontinence but I have taken quite a bit of data. Waaayy too much data. I have found that the water works start about one hour after drinking anything. If I time my drinking with my activities I can control it pretty well. Meaning, I can walk and exercise immediately before or after drinking. I sit at my pc about 45 minutes after drinking. I drink heaviest in the evening about 30 minutes before getting in bed. Lately I have been experimenting with Nyquil at night and manage to sleep through the night and awaken with the ability to produce a forceful pee worthy of a youtube video.
Experimentation is the key. And write things down. At the very least your wife can use the records as evidence at your insanity hearing.

I still leak a few drops when I play golf. Most days I'm completely dry. I workout in the mornings and come home dry but there are other times when I may leak a little in the afternoon or evenings if I lift something heavy. I don't ware a pad except when I play golf which involves a lot of walking, swinging a club and so on. I'm not sure if that will ever stop.

You need to give it at least 6 months and maybe as long as a year.

I hate to ask the obvious, but of course you are doing the kegals religiously ?

I actually used a clamp during this period, which allowed me to make it through the day without the hassle of wet pants, pad changes etc. When I got down to 1 or 2 pads a day, I quit the clamp.

Hey Guys,  I was one of the "expert" leakers here.  From what I went through, I was told by a few different doctors the what you have at 9-12 months is what your gonna get.  Please do not get me wrong.  I was the first one that wanted to try every treatment in the book to get the leakin stopped.  But, I finally gave in to having the AUS installed.  If it is minor leaking using just a pad or two a day you may get relief by having the AdVance Male Sling installed.  A heavier rate may require the AUS.  I know the plastic plumbing is not what anyone wants to do.  For me, It gave me my life back.  Try not to get down. Keep working on your exercises.  A few of us here know exactly what you are dealing with.
