Sir, just kidding about
the dog part. I am an "outside" dog person only. We have had the same dog for nearly 18 years now, but would never allow her in the house. Don't like dog smell and value my antiques too much to want any damage.
Depression often comes with cancer in general. I have had my periods over the years, I have had real help when needed. The past 3 years, I have been depression med free by my choice, but its been hard since I have been dealing with both PC since my 8/2008 diagnosis and long term unemployment. As difficult as my PC path has been with setback and problems, I actually think my mind is still more bothered by the unemployment part. At 57, and with almost 30 years experiences in my field, I feel like I am now disposable. I know you are older than me by a good part, you are one year younger than my living mother. But I feel the age bias when out in the job marketplace, its kind of an unspoken thing.
Glad you found us here, we do care about
one another, no one would ever judge you, and if you just need the company of some good brothers and sisters too, its a great place to be.
