Hey folks, well after the mind numbing thought process that you all have been thru before me we have decided the best course of action is to spend alittle quality time with the robot. We feel that with the very high cancer rate in  my immediate family and with my current low scores its best to get it out before something bad happens. My surgeon is Dr Marc Milsten at St Johns hospital in Tulsa Ok. Every doctor i have met with says he`s the man and i`ve also been able to speak with several guys who have used him and all had excellent outcomes. He has about 500 under his belt and is doing about 9 a week. I go in on the first of Feb. and hope to be healed up by the start of racing season, going to try and finish everything in the shop before i go in so we`re ready to go when i am. This whole deal sucks there is no doubt about that but i have a competitve personality and i simply wont let this derail me. Bless you all for posting here it has been a tremendous source of info so far and i`m sure my questions will keep coming as i progress on this path. Look out robot here i come! Tim

Way to go, Tim. Sounds like all your thinking and research has come together. I remember feeling a sort of calm about having PC once I reached that same point.

You got me curious now. Are you from Tulsa? I was born at St. Johns hospital in Tulsa. My father was from Welch, OK, near the Kansas border.

Keep your questions coming, ask as many and as often as you want. Good luck to you, brother.

Sounds like a great plan. You sound extremely positive and confident in your process and decision and that is a big part of the success and recovery.

Stay with the positive attitude and competitive spirit, it will serve you very well in the months to come.

Tim, I often wondered what the reputation of my birth hospital was like. I was born there, but moved to England when I was a year old. Last time I was in Tulsa was about 1985, so I would imagine much has changed. Glad to hear its a good hospital. My mother said she was treated t here best of all with her 4 kids. BUt that was in 1952, lol.

Hey Ray, thanks brother, we should be fine. My numbers are very like yours and our lives should go on nicely when we get this issue cleared. Somone else mentioned that the surgery wasn`t their main issue but the cath. and i must say living with that deal for x amount of time has been the hardest for me to get my head around also. As a I.C. sufferer i`ve had alot of weird things put in my best friend down there and i`m sure i can survive this one too. Good luck to you! Tim

My experience started early summer with a cystocopy (SP) - after that the biopsy was actually a piece of cake.
I actually have blacked out thinking about the post op experience at this point - I figure after getting through the waiting period and the relief of having it over with I'll take the post op as it comes.  I am fully expecting the first 24 hours to be a little tough but it getting better each hour after that - that's my plan and I'm stickin with it
Good luck - Ray
