Just got my first post-surgery psa results - <0.01.smilewinkgrin yeah I am overjoyed to be able to join the zero club and hope that all of the forum members who have recently had treatment for their PCa will join us soon.

Routine physical at PCP office, with DRE and PSA Test. PSA 2.5, small growth felt on right side 

Urologist performed TRUS biopsy 9/17/09,samples sent to Bostwick Labs

Results received from lab indicated PCa 9/24/09

8 of 12 samples 80% Gleason 3+3+6, 6 of these on the right side

1 of 12 samples 70% Gleason 3+3=6

1 of 12 samples 60% Gleason 3+3=6

2 of 12 samples benign

CT scan and bone scan negative

Consultation at Johns Hopkins with Dr. Alan Partin 10/20/09

Open RRP at Johns Hopkins by Dr. Partin 11/06/09, right nerve bundle removed, left spared

One night in hospital, back to hotel room for three days before flying home

Foley catheter removed 11/16/09

Post-surgery pathology shows PCa was organ-contained, lymph nodes negative, seminal vesicles negative, Gleason score 3+3=6, stage T1b

First post-surgery PSA first week of February 2010. Using one pad during day and one at night as of 1/28/10

No luck with the erectile dysfunction.  Taking 50mg Viagara 3 times a week.  Doctor prescribed 100mg daily beginning 6 weeks after catheter removal, but I can't put up with the headaches and congestion.

Incontinence:  1 Month     ED:  Non issue at any point post surgery
Post Surgery  PSA: 2/09 .05,5/09 .1, 6/09 .11. 8/09 .16
Post SRT PSA: 1/10 .12
Latest: 7/9 met 2 rad. oncl, 7/9 cath #6 - blockage, 8/9 2nd corr surgery, 8/9 cath #7 out 38 days, 9/9 - met 3rd rad. oncl., mapped  9/9, 10/1 - 3rd corr. surgery - SP cath/hard dialation, 10/5 - 11/27 IMRT SRT 39 sess/72 gys ,cath #8 33 days, Cath #9 35 days, 12/7 - Cath #10 43 days, 1/10 - Corrective Surgery #4, and Caths #11 and #12 in at the same time

Heah Scotty congratulations on joining The Club! Wonderful news ... I can feel the relief in your post!
Husband diagnosed in 2/2008 at age 57 with stage T1c. Robotic surgery performed 3/2008. Stage upgraded to T3a (single small EPE in posterior left). Perineural tumor infiltration present. Apex margin, bladder neck and SV negative. Final Gleason 3+4. PSA: 0.0 til July 2009. August 2009- 0.1, September 0.3, October back to 0.0, December 0.0. Thank you God!

PSA 9/05 1.15; 8/06 1.45; 12/07 2.41; 8/08 3.9; 11/08 3.5 free PSA 11%
2 cores out of 12 were positive Gleason (4+4) and (4+5)
Negative CT scan and bone scan done on 1/16
Robotic surgery performed 2/9/09 Dr Fagin, Austin TX
Pathology report:
Prostate weighed 57 grams size:5.2 x 5.0 x 4.9 cm
Posterior lateral lesions measuring 1.5 x 1.4 x 1.0 cm showing focal capsular penetration over a distance of 3mm in circumference.
Prostatic adenocarciroma accounts for approx. 10-20% of the hemisphere.
Gleason 4+4
both nerve bundles removed,
pT3a Nx Mx, Negative margins
seminal vesicles clean, lymph nodes: not dissected
continent after 4 months

Age at dx: 42 age now 45
Treated for sciatic nerve pain 6 months prior to dx.
Heavy amount of blood in urine Unable to urinate 
Lung x-ray for pnumonia revealed multiple lesions in each lung
P.S.A. at time of dx. 3216.14
Began lupron and casodex
Cat scan showed large mass in the pelvic area affecting the bladder multiple nodules in both lungs and lymph node envolvement.
Bone scan revealed possible bone involvment in the pelvic area
Biopsy 12 of 12 cores positive gleason 3+4=7
P.S.A.s since lupron 2946, 1274, 532, 5.01 1.23, .09
Begining jan 08 psa .o9, .25, .44, .86, .73, 1.34, 1.49. Doubling time is a little over 3 months
Cat Scan 12/12/08 Prostate normal size and shape. No tumors detected. Left lung clear of all nodules right lung showing only benign scar tissue. Lymph nodes normal
Bone Scan 12/24/08. Clean!!! went off casodex January 4 2009
Current psa 2/13/09 .16
Latest P.S.A. 0.05 newest P.S.A. undetectable

2 pads per day, 1 depends but getting better,
8/5 1 depend at night only, now none
 started ED tx 7/17, slow go
Post op dx of neuropathy
3 months psa.01, 6 month psa.4, 6 1/2 month psa.5
Starting IMRT on 1/18/10

  DaVinci performed 7.29.08
  Bladder sling installed, umbilical hernia repaired during surgery.
  Path report, "cancer fully contained, margins clear".
  Cath removed 8.8.08, ED therapy begins 8.9.08
  100mg Viagra three times a week, pump for ten minutes daily
  and hold for ten minutes.
  8.16.08 switched to Levitra 20mg, immediate results
  9.15.08 Pad free at night, one thin (light) pad during the day
  9.18.08 1st Post-op PSA Undetectable Zero's....Yes!
  12.22.08 2nd Post-op PSA  Zero's still...
  6.23.09 1yr Post-op PSA Still a zero..
  12.23.09...another zero

beautiful news,  i  noticed viagra gave you headaches. it did me too... i tried them all.... cialis does not give me the flushing stuff and ha.... you try it and as well it stays in the system for 36 hr....    pssssssss  too much beer will make you leak.. ha ha ....  pd

Good news Scotty.

The beer may be getting a bit warm by now, but if its good beer it doesn't need to be kept so cold.  I always enjoy celebrating a Zero.
