It has now been more than eight weeks since I had a Coloplast Virtue sling surgically removed from my body and an American Medical System's AdVance sling implanted at the same time. The difference has been fantastic. I had been using 1-2 pads per day prior to the implantation of the Coloplast Virtue sling last July. Following the Virtue sling surgery, my pad usage went to 4-5 pads per day. The pain from the Virtue sling implant was intolerable and continuous until the sling was removed last December.

With the AdVance sling, I am totally dry for the first time in ten years. This includes coughing and sneezing. I have not required a single pad since the AdVance implant surgery. The pain from the
3 1/2 hour removal surgery last December is improving and I am beginning to feel like a human being again for the first time in more than seven months.

I would be interesting in hearing from others that suffered extensive (intolerable) long term pain following male sling surgery. I would also be interested in hearing from anyone that required their male sling removed due to pain. My email is: bigxbadxjohn2@yahoo.com

Best wishes,

John
