To those suffering from incontinence.....

I have a number of prior posts, but to give a quick update....

Had Virtue male sling surgery on 12/09/2009- about 3 months ago, after using 2-3 pads daily. (Dr. Nitti- NYU-New york City)
I am very happy with the results....haven't used a pad since. Ther is some very minor leakage when getting up or 'shifting" when sitting, and a little more leakage when walking briskly on a hard surface (road) for about 45 minutes, but not all the time (may just be how much I drank beforehand) Most days I'm almost completely dry.

Again, although I'm not 100% dry, this very slight leakage and no need for pads , is  something I never expected!!!

Rapids,

Good for you. Keep us posted, especially the leakers like me, who may be just a few months behind you.

Rapids,
Glad to see you are still doing so well. As most of you know, I had the same sling surgery with the same doctor four weeks ago. See Tallmans journey with Coloplast Sling Surgery.
I have improvement but not as much as Rapids. I think I was a heavier leaker before the surgery. At first it appeared I would be dryer but am now back to 2-3 pads per day, not all full. Trying some more things including drugs and perhaps later collagen injections. In my case some would say I would have been wiser to do the AUS but I am still glad I went this way first. Time will tell if I improve any further but odds are that I will level off......and there may be an AUS in my future down the road.
