I have been waking about every 1 to 2 hours to pee every since I had RP in July 2008. This has continued after Virtue sling surgery 5 weeks ago. Don't know if this is just habit or what. The urge wakes me up but after urinating I go back to sleep immediately so not really a big quality of sleep problem. Just had ultra sound and bladder empties completely. Stream is fine. Uro has no real suggestions. One Advil PM will sometimes lengthen the waking to 2-3 hours and of course the amount of liquids consumed also influences.
Does anyone else experience this same thing? What are you doing about it? What does your Uro say?

Tall gut,
Like Bronson, I have no experience with the sling. My IMRT tx. is however causing the same problem, waking every couple of hours. I also realized after my cancer reoccurance that one of the the signs cancer has returned is frequent urination. That might  not be the case in your situation, but detrol and even Flomax is sometimes used in these case. Good luck in finding a cure as it really is a pain to wake up that often.
