Good Morning All,

I thought my 2 year status may be of interest to some of you that are just beginning your journey with this disease.

I am not posting regularly as of late but do read the board once in a while.

My 24 month PSA is undetectable at 0.010.  As you see I had a single bad margin so we test at 6 months for 2 years. Doc says lets keep going after the 2 years at 6 month intervals for a while.

6 month PSA testing is tough.  No doubt.  I am able to forget about it until the month it is due and then I try and stay as busy as I can.

I would describe my activity and health level a little above average for my 56 years.  I have some leakage (drops) once in a while for no reason or a heavy lift or twist but never bothersome or embarassing.  My sex life is active.  I am able to function somewhat without Viagra but it sure livens things most times. With Viagra when I have the side effects I also have the most positive effect of the drug.  I am still experimenting with how much to take and when to take it.  I take 50 mg and nothing then 50 mg and great results, go figure.  Most recently I have been taking 50mg earlier in the day and then several hours later another 50 mg.  That seems to always work.

I wish to say hello to all those moderators that put in so much time and effort on this site and to all those fine ladies and gentlemen that I have met during my experience here.

Keep up the good Fight...

Frank (Curt)

Watching PSA @ 6 months for 2 years,  will do salvage radiation if necessary.
Fair to Good results with Viagra,  side effects are bothersome at times. Tried Levetra about the same as Viagra.  Tried Cialis, think I will stay with the Viagra at 50 mg.  Side effects worse at 100 mg.

Worried Guy,

I had an erection with the catheter in.  Doc said he is seeing more of that with his surgery. It did not last at all.  I had sex 6 weeks after and thought wow.  Did not last.  I would say I was at 80 % (with Viagra) 8 months after surgery and I am about 85% pre-surgical now at 24 months.  Its different, no doubt about it.  But my wife of 37 years and I are very content and happy.  This, thank God is not an issue.

Incontinence was 2 pads a day at 3 months and pad free, except for golfing, at 4 months and then clear at 5 months.

All the best to you.

Frank Curt,
That is just what I wanted to know.
(I wanted you to say "Everything started working perfectly after 8 months and one day." but alas...)
Thanks!
