Hey guys,
new to the forum as of today.I've had radical retropubic prostatectomy on 3/3/10 removed catheter two weeks later and ended up in Er that night.Could not void after I had left the Drs. office.Second catheter in for 1 week flow was good for about 8hrs and stopped, back to the Er(the pain is unbearable)No diagnostic test yet waiting for appointment on 3/29/10 ,maybe a cystoscopy to look for stricture.Otherwise all has been good, I need to get rid of this bag!! Thanks for listening ,good luck to us all.

SnD,
was there any specific reason for the extended time of cath, most do fine after 2 weeks looking at the posts.

When you take the cath out too early you get to go to the "ER" and scream in pain etc...

My surgeon was one of few that I know of that test to see if you're ready for its removal.
